Job SummaryAs a Suppression Sales & Marketing Specialist, you will sell new inspection/service for fire extinguishers and kitchen suppression systems, reporting directly to the Director of Alarm & Suppression. This role requires a fast‑paced, multi‑tasked environment with a focus on sales, prospecting new clients, and customer service, including travel to potential and existing customer sites.
Responsibilities- Establish contracts and qualify potential buyers by telephone, scheduling sales calls, and cold calling to determine customer needs.
- Prepare quotes for existing customers as required.
- Conduct building surveys to gather information for quotes and to educate customers on our service offerings.
- Develop and maintain an active proposal backlog that supports the assigned sales budget.
- Close sufficient sales to meet sales budget.
- Maintain correct and complete records using the Sales CRM System.
- Submit all required correspondence accurately and on time.
- Attend Inspection & Suppression Department meetings.
- Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with the Suppression Manager, Administrative Assistants, Field Coordinators, Inspectors, and Service Technicians.
- High School Diploma or GED (required).
- 3+ years of sales experience, preferably selling services.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to persuade & close sales.
- Significant experience with Microsoft Office applications required.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Positive attitude, integrity, professionalism, and commitment to company values.
- Strategic thinking, sound decision‑making, and accurate, timely results.
- Ability to build positive working relationships at all managerial levels.
- Strong organizational skills and follow‑up ability.
- Basic business mathematical skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
