Business Development Representative

Links Unlimited®, Inc. is one of Cincinnati’s largest private companies and a leader in the corporate incentives and promotional products industry. We help customers deliver premium products and branded experiences through product sourcing, decoration, warehousing, kitting, and fulfillment.

We’re seeking a Business Development Representative to reengage past customers, grow an assigned book of business, and develop new customer relationships. Much of your focus will be on reconnecting with customers who have purchased from Links before, understanding their needs, and earning more of their business. You’ll also identify and pursue opportunities with new customers.

This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who wants to build a career in sales. We’ll provide training on our products, capabilities, and systems. You bring curiosity, initiative, and the drive to turn conversations into opportunities.

• Manage and grow an assigned book of customers, including inactive accounts and accounts with opportunities for additional business.
• Identify and connect with potential new customers whose needs align with Links Unlimited’s products and services.
• Proactively connect with customers and prospects through phone calls, email, and virtual meetings to build relationships and generate sales opportunities.
• Ask questions to understand purchasing needs, upcoming projects, and business priorities to identify where Links can earn new or additional business.
• Build knowledge of Links’ brands, products, and capabilities to recommend relevant solutions and expand customer relationships.
• Use sales history, account research, and incoming, leads to prioritizing outreach and develop opportunities.
• Prepare accurate quotes and proposals, confirming product availability, pricing, decoration, freight, and timing with the appropriate teams.
• Follow up consistently on quotes and open opportunities to secure orders and understand buying decisions.
• Coordinate with internal teams to support a smooth transition from quote to order while maintaining ownership of customer communication and follow-through.
• Maintain accurate activity, opportunities, and next steps in Hub Spot, and meet established expectations for outreach, account development, and revenue growth.

• A strong interest in building a sales career; previous sales, retail, or customer service experience, is helpful but not required.
• Confidence initiating conversations, asking questions, handling rejection, and asking for the business.
• Strong communication, organization, and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple customer opportunities.
• A self-motivated, coachable team player who takes ownership of commitments and results.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems.
