Job Overview

Hand shakers Construction is hiring a skilled and motivated Carpenter/Foreman to lead daily jobsite operations in residential remodeling projects. This is a full-time, on-site role perfect for someone with at least 5 years of hands‑on experience in residential construction, including kitchen, bathroom, basement renovations, and deck installations. The ideal candidate will be an expert problem‑solver, a strong communicator, and a team leader who thrives in a fast‑paced, detail‑oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the daily workflow of residential construction projects
  • Assign tasks and monitor progress across a crew of 1–3 team members
  • Lead projects such as kitchen, bathroom, and basement remodels, as well as deck installations
  • Ensure timely project completion while maintaining high quality and safety standards
  • Set up job sites efficiently and ensure thorough cleanup after completion
  • Technical Carpentry Work
    • Perform finish carpentry, including tile, trim, cabinet installations, and more
    • Maintain production pace without sacrificing craftsmanship
    • Use knowledge of tools and materials to troubleshoot and resolve on‑site issues
  • Compliance & Communication
    • Enforce compliance with all safety procedures and company protocols
    • Communicate professionally with inspectors, clients, subcontractors, and administrative staff
    • Make timely decisions about crew assignments, subcontractor scheduling, and job priorities
Qualifications

5 years of hands‑on experience in residential construction/remodeling preferred.

Proven experience managing small construction crews or subcontractor teams.

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Valid driver’s license and ability to be covered under company insurance.

Must own a reliable vehicle and appropriate tools.

OSHA 10 preferred, not required.
