This is a 1099 contractor position for Spectrum Charter Cable Technician Applicants will be tested in the field with another technician before being approved to start. Do not apply if you do not meet the requirements listed below. Job Overview:
We are hiring experienced and in Experienced Fiber Optic/ Cable Technicians The role involves fiber installation and splicing, and may include some coaxial work. This position is ideal for techs who are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Requirements:
Proven Fiber Optic/ Cable experience (e.g., splicing, installation, troubleshooting) Willingness to perform both fiber and coax work, as needed Must pass a field test with another tech prior to onboarding Pass a panel drug screening have valid us work creds Truck Van or Suv to carry both 28ft ladder and 6ft ladder and all cable equipment safetly. Must own Work vehicle (van, SUV, or truck – white color not required in this market) 28 ft.
fiberglass ladder & 6 ft. step ladder Full tool set for fiber work (splicing tools, OTDR, etc.) Valid driver’s license Ability to work outdoors and in various environments (attics, rooftops, etc.) 1099 contract role Paid per job (piece-rate basis) Ongoing work available based on performance and availability
