Core Functions- Supports the construction, maintenance, and repair of pipeline infrastructure.
- Performs manual labor tasks, including excavation, pipe handling, and site preparation, to ensure the efficient and safe operation of pipeline projects.
- Assists in the installation, maintenance, and repair of pipeline systems, including assembly and disassembly of pipelines.
- Performs manual excavation and trenching work using hand tools and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Loads, unloads, and positions pipes and related materials using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Cleans and prepares construction sites by removing debris, vegetation, and other obstacles.
- Operates basic construction equipment and tools, such as jackhammers, compactors, and saws, following safety guidelines.
- Adheres to all safety protocols and regulations, wearing required PPE and participating in safety meetings and training sessions.
- Provides support to skilled workers, such as welders and pipe fitters, by holding materials, tools, and other equipment.
- Assists in inspecting pipeline systems for leaks, damage, or other issues, and reports findings to the supervisor.
- Performs general labor tasks as required, including cleaning and maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude, including safe use of hand tools.
- Detail‑oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Passes pre‑employment, random drug screens, background check, and motor‑vehicle record check.
- Willingness to work in outdoor environments, potentially in remote locations and under varying weather conditions.
- Previous landfill gas systems construction experience.
- Current OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification.
- HDPE pipe fusion certificate.
- Knowledge of basic math, gas chemistry, piping, and instrumentation drawings.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) frequently.
- Perform repetitive motions, including bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Work in confined spaces and at heights, as required by the job.
- Primarily outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Exposure to noise, dust, and hazardous materials commonly found in construction sites.
- Ability to travel overnight up to 75% of the time.
