YourOpportunity
Stantec is currently looking for hard‑working, dependable laborers willing and able to follow direction to become members of our team. Our teams work on a variety of projects that include Stream Restoration, Wetland Creation, Invasive Species Removal, Felling Trees, Excavation, Ground Protection Installation and Grade work. We have an in‑depth safety program and will train our team members in safe work practices and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- Operating construction tools and/or small equipment
- Assisting equipment operators, carpenters, craft workers, and other skilled labor when necessary
- Prepping construction sites by removing obstacles and hazards.
- Loading and unloading construction materials
- Removing, filling, or compacting earth
- Follow instructions and learn from on‑the‑job training when necessary.
- Performing site clean‑up
- Following blueprints and building plans to meet clients’ needs
- Measuring, cutting, and/or shaping wood, plastic, and other materials
- Instructing and directing laborers and other construction helpers
- Making concrete forms, forming slabs, walls, and structural slabs
- Must have ability to travel overnight; operators may be required to spend up to 1–4 nights per week out of town working at remote locations for assignments.
- Typical field work environments require the ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time on uneven terrain, lift and move items and equipment up to 50 pounds, and climb a ladder.
- Basic survey knowledge – Trimble and laser level knowledge preferred, not mandatory.
- Adhering to corporate policies, operate through proper management channels, and act in the best interest of the firm.
- Good driving record and a valid driver’s license are required.
- Operating a global positioning system – preferred.
- Standard first aid, CPR, and/or Red Card.
- Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather conditions.
- Positive, safety‑first attitude.
- High School Diploma, GED, or Associate’s degree.
- 1 to 4 years of construction experience. Pay is based on experience.

PayTransparency
In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part‑time roles will be pro‑rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
