This company is known for maintaining high-quality residential communities and offering long-term stability for hard-working, self-motivated professionals.
About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Residential Maintenance Technician to support daily operations, ensure tenant satisfaction, and uphold the overall quality of a high-end apartment community. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, works well independently, and enjoys solving hands-on maintenance challenges in a professional yet laid-back environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to resident service requests, troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of maintenance issues.
- Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general repair work as needed.
- Prepare vacant apartments for new tenants, ensuring all units meet high turnover standards and are move-in ready.
- Conduct regular property inspections and complete preventative maintenance tasks for building systems and equipment.
- Maintain strong property appearance and curb appeal standards.
- Oversee and coordinate work from outside vendors when required.
- Participate in the on-call rotation, providing after-hours support as needed (especially for single-tech properties).
- Adhere to company safety and operational procedures, maintaining a professional and dependable work ethic.
- Support broader property management goals by assisting with other operational duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in residential property maintenance or related trade work.
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Must be capable of lifting 50+ lbs and performing physically demanding tasks.
- HVAC or EPA Certification (Type II or Universal) preferred but not required.
- Reliable, steady employment history (no frequent job changes).
- Strong communication and customer service skills when interacting with residents and staff.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and proactive in addressing maintenance issues before they escalate.
- Team-oriented attitude - you'll work with property managers who are approachable and trust their team's autonomy.
You'll be joining a supportive, down-to-earth team that values trust, professionalism, and work ethic. The environment is collaborative and non-micromanaged, ideal for someone who takes initiative and enjoys a mix of independent work and teamwork.
