SHOP MECHANIC $25-30/hr 1st Shift!
As a Shop Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Post Rental department. Your daily tasks will involve cleaning and preparing equipment for customers, fabricating parts, and maintaining rental units. You will inspect and troubleshoot steam, hot water, and thermal fluid boilers, perform parts replacement, wiring, piping, and welding tasks, as well as rebuild pumps. Additionally, you will assist with mechanical and electrical repairs, work on pipe fitting and control systems, run conduit, and handle basic electrical tasks.
Regular preventive maintenance checks on equipment and painting of units and trailers will also be part of your responsibilities.
- Clean and prep equipment for customers.
- Fabricate parts and equipment for rental units.
- Inspect and troubleshoot steam, hot water, and thermal fluid boilers.
- Perform parts replacement, wiring, piping, and welding tasks.
- Rebuild pumps and assist with mechanical/electrical repairs.
- Work on pipe fitting and control systems.
- Run conduit and handle basic electrical tasks.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance checks on equipment.
- Paint units and trailers.
- Mechanical knowledge and proficiency.
- Boiler inspection experience.
- Pipe fitting and wiring experience.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- 2-5 years of experience in a mechanical/fabricator role.
- Troubleshooting and preventive maintenance experience.
- Must be able to pass an OHSA 10 course or currently hold an OSHA 10 card.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in controls is a plus.
- Willingness to work in various departments and float between tasks.
- Experience in mechanic, maintenance, fabricator, welding, customer relations, and inventory duties.

Work EnvironmentThe position is based in a shop environment, with a new facility being built to accommodate company expansion next to the current location.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Cincinnati, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
