Position: CNC Systems Service Engineer (FANUC)
Build, restore, and elevate machine performance

Join a team that keeps precision manufacturing moving. You’ll travel to customer sites to install new CNC equipment, bring legacy machines back into spec, and partner with engineering to crack the toughest anomalies. Every day, you’ll combine sharp diagnostics with clear communication to deliver results that customers can measure in microns and minutes.

What you will doPlan and execute CNC machine tool installations in line with manufacturer standards; commission systems and demonstrate full operation.

Leverage schematics, blueprints, manuals, and wiring diagrams to determine procedures and resolve issues.

Tune drives, align assemblies, and troubleshoot electrical/mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic subsystems to maintain tolerance.

Use diagnostic instruments and hand tools to repair equipment; collaborate with engineering on edge‑case faults.

Inspect completed assemblies and verify that all moving parts operate correctly within expected limits.

Engage daily with project managers (internal and external), supervisors, and customers to report status and plan next actions.

Define the tools, equipment, and parts required to execute the scope of work efficiently.

Deliver routine service and co‑create preventive maintenance schedules with customers.

Assemble, align, and install equipment; verify precision using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and similar tools.

Immediately report any incidents or errors; take on additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent plus hands‑on CNC machine technician experience.

Applied math proficiency with fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.

Proficient with PCs for email, records, databases, documents, spreadsheets, and basic graphics; above‑average Microsoft Office skills.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel 15–20% with overnight stays, including trips of 1–2 weeks as needed.

Required:

FANUC control expertise.

Safety first: clean workspace, proper storage, guards in place, and strict adherence to SOPs, safety rules, and GMPs.Physical and environmental realities

About 20% stationary while operating equipment; frequent walking to access tools, parts, and machines; constant operation of powered equipment.

Regularly work above and below machines; extensive fine and gross manipulation.

Clear verbal exchange with team members; near‑range detection of defects and mechanical issues to inform actions.

Routinely lift/push/pull/move up to 50 lbs; carry and load parts and tools.

Occasional exposure to humidity, moving parts, fumes/airborne particles, and caustic/toxic chemicals; typical noise is moderate, with exposure to loud machinery.

PPE is mandatory around machinery and electrical currents; expect warmer conditions while wearing PPE in hot months.
