DMI, LLC is seeking a Full‑Stack Ruby on Rails Developer to work onsite in our Cincinnati office and contribute to developing our SaaS Telecom Expense Management platform. As a Full Stack Ruby Developer, you will play a key role in building and enhancing our platform, designing and maintaining backend systems for large‑scale data parsing and processing, creating and optimizing RESTful and Graph
QL APIs, and eventually taking ownership of converting existing Ruby data pipelines to a new Python‑based pipeline. On the front end, you will develop user‑friendly, responsive interfaces using Vue.js, bridging design and functionality. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow developers, mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and continuously improve the platform.
- Design and build backend components to handle large‑scale data parsing, processing, and storage efficiently.
- Develop user‑friendly, responsive, and highly functional interfaces that enhance the customer experience.
- Implement and maintain robust parsing workflows to process and analyze complex datasets.
- Partner with product managers, designers, and other developers to define new features and improve the platform.
- Create and optimize RESTful and Graph
QL APIs to ensure seamless integration with external systems. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues to maintain platform reliability and performance.
- Conduct code reviews, offer constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers to foster growth within the team.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices to recommend and implement improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (equivalent experience considered).
- 5–7 years of full‑stack development experience, with a strong focus on Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
- 2–3 years of experience in Python to support data pipeline conversion.
- At least 2–3 years of experience leading or mentoring teams, conducting code reviews, and taking ownership of significant projects.
- Strong expertise in Ruby and Ruby on Rails with a proven track record in full‑stack development.
- Strong expertise in Python with experience managing data pipelines.
- Solid experience with data parsing and managing large datasets.
- Front‑end proficiency, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with modern frameworks like Vue.js.
- Hands‑on experience building and deploying applications in AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS).
- Proficiency in version control (Git, Git Hub).
- Strong understanding of API development (RESTful, Graph
QL). - Solid knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to thrive independently and in a team.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Docker or Terraform.
- Certifications in Ruby, Python, or related technologies.
