We're seeking a versatile Backend Software Engineer who thrives at the intersection of technical excellence and collaborative innovation. This intermediate-level position is designed for a professional who brings both .NET and Java Spring Boot expertise while actively contributing to architectural decisions and driving solutions that make a real impact.

What You'll Do:

Drive Technical Solutions Build robust, scalable backend systems using Java Spring Boot re-platforming systems that are currently .NET. Designing APIs and microservices that power critical business applications. You'll ensure high-quality code that meets our standards for performance, security, and maintainability.

Lead Through Collaboration Participate actively in agile ceremonies, contributing ideas that shape project direction and technical approach.

Innovate and Optimize Develop applications in Open Shift with future potential for building cloud-native applications on AWS. Build containerized microservices, implement CI/CD pipelines, and create automated solutions that improve operational excellence. Stay ahead of technology trends and bring fresh perspectives to our development practices.

Ensure Excellence Write comprehensive unit tests, conduct thorough code reviews, and maintain security best practices. Collaborate with Dev Ops and operations teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and ensure our applications deliver exceptional user experiences while meeting compliance requirements.

What You Bring

Core Technical Skills:

5-10 years professional software development experience with proven ability to deliver production-quality applications

Strong proficiency in Java Spring Boot (Java 17+) with deep understanding of Spring ecosystem (Security, Data, Cloud)

Solid experience with .NET Core/.NET 6+ and ASP.NET Core, including Web API development and Entity Framework

API Development expertise in designing and implementing RESTful services, including authentication, versioning, and documentation

Modern Development Practices

Cloud-native development experience with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, ECS)

Containerization skills using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes or ECS

Testing expertise with comprehensive unit testing (JUnit, NUnit/xUnit) and integration testing strategies

Version control mastery using Git with branching strategies and code review processes

Agile methodology experience with active participation in sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives
