Software Engineer
Location:
Cincinnati, OH | Full-Time | On-Site
Salary: $95,000–$110,000, negotiable based on experience
Position Overview We are seeking a Software Engineer to join a small, collaborative development team in Cincinnati, OH. This role will focus on developing, maintaining, and improving software applications using Python, VBA, SQL, and Power BI, while also supporting database development, application testing, security, and compliance initiatives.
This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys working across multiple technologies and taking ownership within a smaller development environment.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and internal solutions.
- Develop and support applications using Python and VBA.
- Work with relational and non-relational databases, including MS SQL and MongoDB.
- Develop and maintain reporting and analytics solutions using Power BI and DAX.
- Utilize Git for source control and development workflows.
- Support application testing, security practices, and compliance requirements.
- Troubleshoot existing applications and implement enhancements.
- Collaborate closely with another developer and business stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of professional software engineering or full-stack development experience.
- 2+ years of experience with Python.
- 2+ years of experience with VBA.
- 2+ years of experience working with relational and non-relational databases.
- Experience with MS SQL and/or MongoDB.
- Experience with Git.
- Experience with Power BI and DAX.
- Hands-on experience with application testing, security practices, or compliance.
- Ability to work effectively within a small, collaborative development team.
- C or C++ experience.
- JavaScript, React, or Next.js experience.
- FastAPI or MCP experience.
- Docker and Kubernetes experience.
- FluxCD, Git Lab, or Git Hub experience.
- Familiarity with CAD software.
