Group Exercise Instructor – YMCA of Greater Cincinnati

Starting pay is $14.33/hour

• Prepare for and instruct group exercise classes.
• Clean up area and return materials after class.
• Understand the needs and goals of participants and provide a positive, enjoyable environment for achieving their fitness goals.
• Deliver quality group exercise classes that begin and end on time, follow the scheduled format, and maintain proper intensity level.
• Respect the individual goals, needs and perspectives of each member.
• Demonstrate a genuine interest in and dedication to improving the health and fitness of clients.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Must possess CPR/AED and First Aid certifications prior to hire and maintain them during employment; must achieve an audition score of 3 or higher.
• YUSA Healthy Lifestyles Principles must be obtained within six months of employment.
• YUSA Foundations of Group Exercise or YUSA YASA or Lifeguard and YUSA Water Fitness Instructor (if water fitness is primary mode of instruction) must be obtained within nine months of employment.
