We are hiring Cycling and TRX Instructors to join the team at the Gamble-Nippert YMCA. If you are a leader with a passion for health and wellness and want to share that passion with others, you can contribute as a valued member of our wellness team as a group exercise instructor. The Y offers a variety of classes from boot camp to cycling and more in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Starting pay is $14.33/hour

• Prepare for and instruct group exercise classes.
• Clean up area and return materials after class.
• Understand the needs and goals of participants and provide a positive, enjoyable environment to help them achieve their fitness goals.
• Provide quality group exercise classes that begin and end on time, follow the scheduled class format, and are at the proper intensity level.
• Respect the individual goals, needs, and perspectives of each member.
• Demonstrate a genuine interest in, and dedication to, improving the health and fitness of clients.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must possess CPR/AED/First Aid certifications prior to hire and maintain current certifications during employment. Must obtain an audition score equal to or better than average of 3 (Pass).
• YUSA Healthy Lifestyles Principles must be obtained within six (6) months of employment.
• YUSA Foundations of Group Exercise within nine (9) months of employment.
