Drama and Theatre Studies with Preforming Arts (Acting) within a college setting?
The Drama and Performing Arts department are looking to recruit a committed and talented teacher of A Level Drama with Performing Arts (Acting).
At Cirencester College, you would have the opportunity of teaching enthusiastic learners
Drama and Theatre Studies, enhancing their knowledgeonareas of performancesuch as Greek Theatre(Lysistrata by Aristophanes),Brecht,Devising,Performancefrom a text and Acting for Screen.
Thesecoursesdive deep into the worldofperforming arts, from participation in class workshopstohigh qualityperformances in our very own Sundial Theatre.
You would teach surrounded by acommittedand supportive team who will readily share resources and best practices, andoffer support wheneverrequired. Within this environment we would help you further develop as a practitioner, as you in turn develop your students.

The postholder will be expected to:
- Teach
A Level Drama and Theatre (Edexcel) to a high standard anddeveloptherelevant skillsto teach truly outstandingprovision. - Teach BTEC Performing Arts with a focus on Naturalism, Devising and Acting for Screen.
- Plan and deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessment on all the courses you teach.
- Ideally have experience in teaching at Key Stage Five.
- Be willing to teach, in-part, across other subjects if required(e.gEnglish) and take on the role as a tutor.
- Candidates should have a commitment to providing high quality learning to enable all learners to achieve theirfullpotential. The ability totrulywork as ateamplayerisalsoessential. The postholder will be expected todemonstrateoutstanding organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Effectively prepare students for non-examined assessments including marking Devising Portfolios andexaminedresponses for Component 3assessments.
- Ideally you will hold a teachingqualification orbecommittedto obtain a suitable qualificationonce in post.
