Salary:
Lecturer (Grade 8: starting at £38,784 progressing to £46,049) or Senior Lecturer (Grade 9: starting at £44,746 progressing to £56,535) per annum.
Hours:
Part-time (14 to 21 hours per week).
Location:
Cirencester (and Partner Organisations).
The Royal Agricultural University (RAU) seeks an experienced Rural Surveyor to join our Land & Property Management team to teach on our Rural Land Management and Real Estate programmes. All lecturers are required to articulate subject material in a way that will enable students to demonstrate an understanding of the subject areas through contextualization and critical analysis of case studies and scenarios.
The role focuses on delivering high‑quality teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate students through lectures, tutorials, seminars, field excursions, and practical exercises, with a focus on innovative approaches to learning and teaching.
- Deliver high‑quality teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Organise and lead lectures, tutorials, seminars, field excursions, and practical exercises.
- Integrate industry experience to enrich teaching with real‑world examples.
- Support students in developing critical analysis and contextualisation skills.
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of the programmes.
- Chartered Surveyor with MRICS, FRICS, or AssocRICS, or meet the necessary criteria to become a member of RICS.
- Relevant professional experience in the land‑based sector.
- Experience teaching or strong ability to articulate subject material effectively.
- Commitment to innovative teaching and learning practices.
- 35‑hour working week (full‑time), pro‑rata for part‑time posts.
