Job Description & How to Apply Below

From the Flight line to the Classroom

Ready to pass on your knowledge?

This is a standout opportunity for experienced aviation engineers — particularly those from the Armed Forces — to transition into a rewarding instructor role, shaping the next generation of engineers across Europe’s leading maintenance organisations.

The Role

You’ll move from hands-on engineering into a structured training environment, delivering both theoretical and practical instruction.

Think: less spanners, more leadership, mentoring and knowledge transfer — without losing your technical edge.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Deliver EASA & UK CAA Part 66 training (theory + practical)
  • Instruct on specialist aviation technical skills
  • Support exams as an Examiner / Invigilator
  • Maintain and improve training materials and course content
  • Work in a professional, learner-focused environment
Why This Suits Ex-Military

If you’ve come from:

  • Royal Air Force (Aircraft Tech / Avionics / Mechanical)
  • British Army REME (Aviation / Aircraft support)
  • Royal Navy Air Engineering

You’ll already have:

  • Structured training experience
  • Strong technical foundation
  • Instruction / mentoring exposure
  • Safety-critical mindset
  • Leadership and discipline
What We’re Looking For
  • Aviation maintenance qualification
  • Ideally an instructional qualification (training can be provided)
  • Minimum 5 years industry experience
  • Comfortable delivering training and engaging groups
  • IT literate (MS Office)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Able to pass enhanced DBS
Package
  • £48,000 – £54,000 DOE
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Pension scheme
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Full-time, permanent
The Bottom Line

This is a proper transition role — ideal if you're looking to step away from the tools but still stay within aviation, using everything you’ve learned to develop others.

we welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
