Job Description & How to Apply Below
Hairdressing Educator In-Salon Training | Greater Manchester Salary:
Up to £34,000 DOE We are looking for a Hairdressing Educator to join a growing and busy training provider, delivering practical, hands-on training and development directly within salons. This is a slightly different Educator role to a traditional academy-based position. Rather than learners coming into the training centre, you will travel to salons to support apprentices in their own working environment, helping them develop their practical skills, confidence and technical ability alongside their day-to-day salon experience.

The business is currently experiencing significant growth, with a high volume of new learner starts, so this is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive team at a time of expansion.

The Role You will manage a caseload of approximately 18 learners , visiting each learner in their salon every fortnight . Each visit will typically be around half a day , giving you dedicated time with the learner to:
Deliver practical, in-salon training and development Observe learners working in a real salon environment Demonstrate hairdressing techniques and best practice Support learners with their practical skills and technical development Identify areas where learners need additional support Provide constructive feedback and set clear development goals Monitor learner progress and ensure they are working towards their required standards Build strong relationships with both learners and salon employers Support learners to become confident and competent hair professionals You will become an important point of contact for your learners, helping them bridge the gap between their formal training and the realities of working in a busy salon.

About You We are looking for an experienced hairdresser who has a genuine interest in teaching, coaching and developing others . You could already be working as a Hairdressing Educator, Tutor, Lecturer, Trainer or Assessor, or you may be an experienced stylist who has developed a strong interest in moving into education. You will need:
Strong professional hairdressing experience Excellent practical hairdressing skills The confidence to demonstrate and coach techniques within a working salon A genuine passion for developing other hairdressers Strong communication and interpersonal skills The ability to build relationships with both learners and salon owners/managers A supportive and patient approach to coaching Good organisation and time management skills The ability to work independently and manage your own learner caseload A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as the role involves travelling to salons Formal teaching or assessing qualifications would be advantageous, but we are particularly interested in your industry experience and ability to develop people .

Working Pattern We are ideally looking for someone who can work 5 days per week , although a minimum of 4 days per week will be considered. The role involves travelling to salons to meet your learner caseload, with each learner receiving a visit approximately every fortnight. Salary & Benefits Salary up to £34,000 DOE Full-time position, ideally 5 days per week Minimum 4 days per week considered Regular working hours Supportive working environment Opportunity to develop your career within hairdressing education Significant learner growth and new starts within the business Why Join?

This is a great opportunity for an experienced hair professional who enjoys passing on their knowledge and seeing other people develop . Rather than being tied to a classroom or academy every day, you will be out in the industry, working directly with learners in the salons where they are building their careers. You will have the opportunity to use your own industry experience every day while making a genuine difference to the next generation of hair professionals.

If you're an experienced hairdresser who loves developing people and wants a role where you're genuinely out in the industry, we'd love to hear from you.
