Juice Recruitment are seeking a proactive and detail oriented Credit Controller to join our finance team based in Cirencester. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's sales ledger, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, maintaining strong customer relationships, and supporting healthy cash flow across the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller who enjoys working in a fast paced environment and has strong communication and problem solving skills
DAY TO DAY:- Proactively manage and maintain the sales ledger.
- Chase outstanding customer payments by telephone, email, and written correspondence.
- Monitor customer accounts to ensure payments are received within agreed credit terms.
- Investigate and resolve customer invoice queries promptly and professionally.
- Reconcile customer accounts and allocate incoming payments accurately.
- Prepare and distribute aged debt reports to management.
- Review customer credit limits and recommend changes where appropriate.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers while ensuring effective debt recovery.
- Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to resolve payment issues.
- Assist with month-end reporting and finance administration.
- Ensure all credit control activities comply with company policies and procedures.
- Previous experience in a Credit Controller or Accounts Receivable role.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Confident using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- AAT qualification or studying towards AAT (preferred but not essential).
- Experience working within a busy finance department.
- Knowledge of credit risk assessment and debt collection procedures.
