Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team working across both sites. Upper Thames Medical Group sites are:

- Cirencester. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional service and support in a busy medical environment. This role requires strong administrative and office skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Responsibilities- Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
- Manage appointment scheduling and confirmations, ensuring an organised calendar for healthcare providers.
- Answer phone calls promptly, addressing patient inquiries and directing calls to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with data protection regulations.
- Process patient registrations and insurance information efficiently.
- Handle billing inquiries and assist with payment processing as required.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth operations within the practice.
- Keep the reception area tidy and organised, creating a pleasant environment for patients.

- Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong administrative skills with proficiency in office software applications.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly demeanour.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A commitment to providing outstanding customer service to patients and their families.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is an advantage but not mandatory.
