Siamo Recruitment are working with UK’s leading manufacturer in their industry. Going from strength to strength their expanding and building a whole new production team to join their existing teams.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Shift Manager to join a well-established company based in Cirencester.

As the Shift Manager our client is looking for a confident communicator who is reliable and keen ready to learn and progress. This is role which requires good people management skills and previous production line experience.

Shifts:

4 ON 4 OFF – Rotating 06:00am – 18:00pm & 18:00pm – 06:00am

This role will gp permanent for the right candidate.

Location - Cirencester
4 on 4 off 12 hour shift pattern
Rotational Shifts 06:00am – 18:00pm & 18:00pm – 06:00am

Your role as a Production Shift Manager will involve the following duties:

Sets and maintains high standards for Health and Safety, Quality, housekeeping and output to plan
Ensure work activities consistently meet quality, safety, cost and delivery specification
To provide feedback to  team members during the working shift on the things most likely to maintain and improve performance. Promptly identify poor performance/unacceptable behaviour -  and bring it directly to the attention of the team member concerned, ensuring that the correct Policy/procedure is followed
Actively encourage team members to freely report actual and potential variations in quality
Undertakes the performance reviews of team members and identifies training needs and solutions
Make recommendations for improvements involving people and processes
Keeping the immediate Manager informed about activities, results and achievements
Ensures information about problems and opportunities is clear, accurate and provided with appropriate urgency
Takes responsibility for and keeps informed the Plant/Production Manager of any potential or actual conflicts between people
Leads team meetings
Organises and co-ordinates cover (Breaks, Absence, Holiday) within their shift (or area of plant) to ensure efficient, smooth, and continuous running to meet production plan priorities

The ideal candidate for the Production Shift Manager position will have:

Previous Shift Management exposure is essential
Understands the operation of a production line and can identify key issues and likely causes
A Good understanding of the product range and the nuances contained within
A good level of understanding of the Production KPIs
Highly effective people Manager
Role model for Health and safety standards
Previous experience working shift patterns is essential
Quality control experience is essential
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Good attentiveness and a keen eye for detail
Full UK Driving License
Physically able to lift up to 20kg regularly
