Summary:

Are you technically minded and able to come up with creative solutions? Do you thrive in challenging environments? Are you a real team‑player? If so, don’t let this opportunity pass you by. We want to be the water company people want to be supplied by and want to work for.

You will take up a crucial role as a Process Technician to join our team that keeps the water flowing for millions of customers every day. You will use your skills, know‑how and attention to detail, along with a dependable approach, to operate and maintain our production sites, reservoirs and pumping stations. You will manage water level and flow within our reservoirs and pumping stations to ensure we provide a continuous water supply to the communities we serve.

Experience in water treatment processes would be useful but isn’t essential. Ideally you will have experience in process operations or an electrical / mechanical engineering background. You will operate, maintain and manage our water production sites by monitoring, optimising and continuously improving water treatment processes. Your attention to detail ensures that data is correctly recorded and work management systems are updated accurately.

It is crucial that you are an agile team player and confident working alone.

Working hours:

37 hours per week (7.00am to 7.00pm, Monday to Friday). After initial training, you will be required to participate in a 1 in 6 standby rota to respond to incidents out of hours and  return, we pay a standby allowance (c. £1,800 per annum) plus overtime rates. A company van is provided as you will work at different locations within the Kent area.
