Machine Operator / Setter

We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator / Setter for a temporary position in Cirencester. This role is perfect for individuals with strong machining experience who can ensure precision and quality. The opportunity offers approximately three months of work with a respected engineering company.

Salary

Salary to be discussed – PAYE rates apply.

Location and Working Pattern

Cirencester, on-site. Full-time, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours (0730–1500, with a half-day on Friday).

Our client, Bosch Rexroth, is a recognised name in drive and control technologies, delivering innovative engineering solutions worldwide.

Must-have Requirements
  • Proven machining experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently in a workshop environment.
  • Experience operating milling machines, specifically XYZ SMX 4000.
  • Familiarity with Prototrak controller systems.
Responsibilities
  • Operate and set machines accurately to meet production specifications.
  • Monitor operations to maintain high standards of quality.
  • Adjust machine settings to optimise performance and minimise downtime.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety around the work area.
  • Follow and adhere to health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Complete any quality checks and production documentation as required.
  • Identify and resolve minor technical issues during production runs.
Nice-to-have Skills
  • Experience in a production or engineering environment within the manufacturing sector.
  • Knowledge of process optimisation and problem-solving techniques.
