Overview

The Business Development Executive will be responsible for generating new business by identifying prospects, making initial approaches and nurturing leads through to conversion. This is a front‑line role that combines research, outreach and face‑to‑face relationship building. The Business Development Executive will work closely with senior advisers and brokers, feeding qualified opportunities into the pipeline and contributing directly to the company's revenue growth in Cirencester and beyond.

Responsibilities
  • Research and identify prospective clients across corporate and high-net‑worth segments.
  • Make outbound approaches via phone, email and Linked In to generate new business conversations.
  • Attend networking events, industry conferences, and client meetings across the United Kingdom.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities in the CRM system.
  • Prepare pitch materials and presentations tailored to each prospect's needs.
  • Collaborate with advisers and brokers to hand over qualified leads and support the sales process.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a Business Development Executive, Sales Executive or similar new business role.
  • Resilient and self‑motivated with a genuine enjoyment of prospecting and outreach.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Commercial awareness and an interest in financial services products and markets.
  • Experience with CRM systems and pipeline management.
  • Full UK driving licence (office‑based in Cirencester with travel for meetings and events).
