HGV Class 2 Driver

HGV CLASS 2 DRIVER People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join a growing waste and recycling operation in South Cerney and the surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced and qualified drivers who are looking for stability, great earning potential, and long-term progression within refuse and recycling services. This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, or Refuse Truck Driver.

Shift Pattern:
Monday
- Friday: 06:30am start Pay Rate: £16.00 – £18.00 per hour Benefits Excellent hourly rates (PAYE – holidays accrued separately) Ongoing work with full training and support Weekly pay Immediate starts available Free site parking Community Impact
- Help make your neighbourhood cleaner and greener. Day-to-Day Duties Carry out full daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects Drive the refuse vehicle safely along assigned collection routes Operate bin-lifting equipment to empty waste and recycling containers Work safely as part of a collection crew and follow loading signals Ensure all waste is collected efficiently and routes are completed Follow strict health and safety procedures at all times, especially in public areas Record and report issues such as missed bins, contamination, or access problems Essential Skills Valid UK Category C Licence Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card No more than six penalty points Reliable, professional, and punctual Good communication and customer service skills Understanding of road safety and compliance Ability to work with a Driver's Mate to complete multi-drop deliveries

Desirable Experience Previous multi-drop delivery experience Previous experience driving HGV Class 2 vehicles in waste management, refuse collection, or similar environment Background working in outdoor manual roles or physically demanding environments Training Full industry-related training provided Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment Apply Now:
