We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for an organization located in the Sacramento area (hybrid)! The candidate will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of financial records, leading complex accounting tasks, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with GAAP. This is a mid‑senior level role that will provide the opportunity to mentor junior staff and improve accounting processes across the organization.

This role also offers a flexible hybrid work schedule.

Core duties and responsibilities include:

• Provide accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and variance analyses.
• Maintain the general ledger, including month‑end journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Support annual audits, tax filings, and compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in developing and monitoring budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
• Review and enhance accounting processes, internal controls, and workflow efficiencies.
• Provide guidance, training, and oversight to junior accounting staff.
• Support process improvements using technology and automation tools.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Supervisory or lead experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and month‑end close procedures.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• CPA certification highly preferred.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is from $100K to $110K, depending on experience.
