Mead & Hunt is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Building Engineering team as a Plumbing Engineer. This opportunity is available at Milwaukee, WI;

Dallas, TX; and Bloomington, MN. The position offers a flexible hybrid work schedule, requiring at least three days per week onsite at our office—an excellent opportunity to enjoy both in‑office collaboration and remote flexibility.

• Lead the plumbing design of multiple projects of various sizes.
• Prepare reports and studies.
• Select, specify, and estimate costs of plumbing system equipment and fixtures.
• Perform calculations as required.
• Conduct periodic construction site inspections.
• Supervise staff on project teams.
• Other tasks as assigned.

A valid driver’s license and approximately up to 25% travel will be required.

• A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in mechanical or architectural engineering from an accredited college or university.
• At least six years of relevant plumbing engineering experience.
• PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in additional states.

• Leading plumbing design of complex projects including fire suppression/sprinkler, compressed air/gas, laboratory water/gas, and medical gas design.
• Performing calculations for system layout and sizing.
• Using Revit to create bid document drawings.
• Designing systems for federal government projects.
• Knowledge of plumbing, fire protection, and building codes.
• CPD certification from ASPE is preferred.
