The Engineering Division provides project and program support of activities primarily in the public right-of-way. The projects generally include public infrastructure such as roads, streets, bridges, signals and lighting, and stormwater facilities.

The Senior Civil Engineer performs a variety of difficult and complex professional engineering work related to assigned areas of responsibility, including but not limited to, development and review of complex transportation planning, traffic engineering, land development, capital improvement, drainage and special projects. The role provides professional engineering support relative to assigned areas of responsibility; develops and implements long-range planning; and works on a variety of state and federally funded projects.
