Job Summary

The Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) provides comprehensive respiratory care to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients, including critical care support in a Level III NICU environment. The role requires advanced clinical judgment, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and adherence to evidence-based respiratory care protocols.

Key Responsibilities

Provide respiratory therapy services as ordered, including oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and ventilator management

Deliver respiratory care to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients, including Level III NICU populations

Monitor patient response to respiratory interventions and adjust care plans accordingly

Assist with airway management, intubation support, and emergency response

Perform patient assessments, blood gas analysis, and respiratory diagnostics

Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, treatments, and equipment use

Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record

Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams

Follow infection control, patient safety, and regulatory standards

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience

Experience in a Level III NICU

Active CRT or RRT credential

Active Oregon Respiratory Therapy license

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

Schedule Details

Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM

Shift Type: 12-hour nights

Compunnel Healthcare Job P. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
