Site Installation Technician - GRP Systems (UK-Wide Travel)

Salary: 34,000 - 39,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Permanent Full Time Monday-Friday (Overnight Travel Required)

Prime Appointments is recruiting a Site Installation Technician for a specialist GRP contractor. This is a practical, hands-on role involving nationwide installation of bespoke GRP systems across major infrastructure projects. The position offers clear career development, structured training, and long-term stability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install GRP riser flooring, platforms, pit covers, and access structures
• Read and interpret drawings, plans, and method statements
• Cut, fit, and assemble materials to precise specifications
• Set out risers and complete installations to a high-quality standard
• Support day-to-day site activities under a Site Supervisor or Manage
• Maintain tools, equipment, and PPE to company procedures
• Follow all Health & Safety regulations, including PUWER and LOLER
• Report progress, defects, and material requirement
• Maintain tidy and well-organised working areas
• Take part in training and work towards an NVQ Level 2 qualification

Requirements:

• Previous hands-on construction or site installation experience
• Experience with GRP materials or access flooring systems (advantageous)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Willingness to travel nationwide (Monday-Friday) with overnight stays
• CSCS card (essential)
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
• PASMA, IPAF, or Harness & Lanyard certification (desirable)
• PTS certification (preferred)
