Hours: 8:00 pm – 6:00 am
General Overview: Performs all functions related to polysomnographic exams and multiple sleep latency testing to provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. Functions under licensed medical direction.
Essential Responsibilities- Performs all polysomnograms and MSLTs according to clinical practice guidelines, departmental policy and procedures, and may score test results.
- Maintains proper calibration, quality control and analysis of all polysomnographic equipment.
- Organizes and prioritizes workload and scheduling of patient testing efficiently and effectively.
- Assists with billing documentation and maintains department records.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
- CPR – American Heart Association.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
- Graduate of polysomnography course or completion of an approved sleep lab training program.
- Basic EEG course.
- RPSGT, CRT, RRT or LPN.
- Sleep study testing experience.
