Overview
Hand Therapist - PRN role at UAB Medicine.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Work Location:
UAB St. Vincent’s Chilton.
- Assess patient and design appropriate plan of care.
- Administer and evaluate tests of musculoskeletal, neurological, and physiological responses to determine functioning.
- Develop appropriate treatment plans based on an patient evaluation.
- Design and fabricate orthotics and adaptive equipment. Initiate and perform treatments using exercise, manual therapy, physical agents, and rehabilitation.
- Educate patient and family/caregiver about deficits. Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Rehab Therapist specializing in Occupational Therapy (OTR) credentialed from the Alabama Board of Occupational Therapy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate’s degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
