Grill Cook

We are hiring immediately for a full‑time GRILL COOK position at Claremont Mckenna College, 750 Amherst Street, Claremont, CA 91711. Applications must be submitted online only.

Schedule:

Full time. Friday and Saturday, 5:30 pm – 2:00 am. Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm. Pay: $26.00 per hour. Internal employee referral bonus available.

Prepares food and serves customers at the grill station in accordance with applicable federal, state, and corporate standards and guidelines to provide high‑quality food service.

• Takes orders from customers and prepares items requiring short preparation; completes orders from steam tables and serves customers at multiple stations.
• Serves customers efficiently and courteously following established steps of service, ensuring food is at the correct temperature and taste.
• Uses ticket‑collection procedures during service and keeps accurate records of area worked.
• Follows approved recipes and production standards to maintain proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control.
• Carries pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, stove, and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Stores foods in designated areas following standard wrapping, dating, and food‑safety rotation procedures.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of all assigned work areas, equipment, and utensils to meet sanitation standards.
• Resolves customer concerns and reports relevant information to supervisors.
• Participates in in‑service and safety meetings.
• Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, and management.
• Works safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Previous prep cooking and grill cooking experience preferred.
