Overview
Parks & Recreation Department is seeking to fill the position(s) of Lifeguards. Lifeguarding responsibilities include monitoring participant's safety in the pool, maintenance of the pool, pool area, and locker rooms, maintaining records of pool usage, chemical testing and maintaining proper water balances in the pool.
Responsibilities- Monitor participant safety in the pool and respond to emergencies as needed.
- Perform pool and area maintenance, including locker rooms and surrounding facilities.
- Maintain records of pool usage and conduct chemical testing to maintain proper water balance.
- Proficient swimmer.
- Prior lifeguard experience preferred but training is available for qualified individuals.
- Successfully pass pre-employment requirements: physical, drug screening, and criminal background search.
Wages start at $12.25/hour - $20.30/hour, depending upon experience. Hours of work may vary depending upon the staffing needs of the department.
Certifications- American Red Cross Lifeguard Training (or equivalent)
- CPR for the Professional Rescuer
