Job Description YOU MUST BE AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE UNITED STATES
Identify, analyze, and implement changes to enhance efficiency, productivity, quality, and safety within the organization. Utilize continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to analyze processes, identify waste, and drive sustainable improvements. Collaborate with other members of the continuous improvement team and with teams across all levels of the organization to foster a culture of continuous learning and adaptation.
ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS
Support Canams commitment to all safety and quality programs.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, waste removal, and cost reduction.
Plan, facilitate, and execute continuous improvement events using Lean tools and methodologies.
Teach, lead, and coach cross‑functional teams.
Work to continuously improve processes both on the production floor and within other functional areas of the organization.
Help ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are current and being followed.
Create new Standard Work and SOPs as needed to support the organization.
Help teach leaders and team members a zero defect mentality.
Serve as a tactical expert and resources for continuous improvement tools and processes.
Track and measure the effectiveness of improvement initiatives, reporting on results to management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Passion for continuous improvement with the ability to coach, mentor, and train others.
Strong background with a variety of problem solving methodologies to analyze and process data and drive improvements (Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys, Fishbone Analysis, SWOT Analysis, Impact‑Effort Matrix).
Working knowledge and use of Lean principles and methodologies (6S, KPIs, Gemba, Poka Yoke, Standard Work, Kaizen, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping).
Strong working knowledge of Google Workplace or Microsoft Suite, including advanced skills with Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms.
Passion and dedication for safety and quality in the workplace.
Ability to multitask multiple projects while weighing and managing priorities.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work across boundaries to support and influence all functions within the organization.
Active listening and the ability to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement from team members.
Ability to build and foster a collaborative work environment.
Establish trust, credibility, and rapport throughout the organization.
Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma is preferred.
Familiarity with MDI (Managing Daily Improvement) is helpful.
Yellow Belt Certification or beyond is highly desirable.
Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
WORK ENVIRONMENTGeneral office and constant exposure to computer display. Frequent exposure to the production environment.
