Family Services Specialist I/II

Location:

Claremore, Oklahoma.

Annual Salary:

  • Level I H14A: $37,440.00+ Full State Employee Benefits
  • Level II H14B: $40,248.00+ Full State Employee Benefits

Travel is Occasional. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain required car insurance.

Minimum Qualifications Level I
  • Education and experience requirements consist of two years of clerical office work in a business, public sector, or social work environment;
  • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting thirty semester hours of college for each year of the required experience.
Level II
  • Education and experience requirements consist of a bachelor’s degree;
  • OR an associate’s degree plus two years of clerical office work in a business, public sector, or social work environment;
  • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one additional year of experience in professional business, public sector, or social work environment for each year of the bachelor’s degree;
  • OR two (2) years of experience as a Family Services Specialist.
Job Responsibilities
  • Reviews and analyzes gatekeeping requests using available programs (IMS, OnBase, FACS) to determine individual need and connect the customer to the appropriate program following the designated SOP, protocols, and instructions.
  • Follow First Contact Resolution principals to assist customers with uploading verifications, proxying benefit requests, providing benefits verification and providing resource information as needed.
  • Evaluates the needs of individuals and families and make referrals to community resources.
  • Assesses the needs of individuals and determines eligibility for specific programs.
  • Interviews clients by phone or in an office setting.
  • Compiles data, completes documentation, and enters data electronically to determine eligibility.
  • Participates in individual and staff conferences and committee work as assigned.
  • Must attend all mandatory training associated with the position.
  • Establish, engage, and grow positive and effective community partnerships with interested members of the public, service providers, and vendors in a supportive and teamwork-oriented professional manner; work effectively with partners to serve shared customers while maintaining confidentiality.
