Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist III to join our advanced aerospace manufacturing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for manufacturing complex, high‑precision parts from materials such as aluminum, titanium, and high‑temperature alloys with minimal supervision.

You’ll also help guide and train junior machinists while overseeing multiple CNC machines, including large 5‑axis machining centers.

The CNC Machinist III will play a key leadership role ensuring quality, precision, and efficiency across the machining department—contributing to company success in Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, and Attitude (QCDSA). This is an exceptional opportunity for a master machinist ready to take ownership of production excellence in a world‑class aerospace facility.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Guide and train CNC Machinists I & II on setting up and operating 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC mills and lathes.

  • Read and interpret complex blueprints, tolerances and work instructions to plan machining operations.

  • Perform detailed in‑process inspections using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, CMM, etc.).

  • Make program edits, offset adjustments, and calculations to maintain tight tolerances.

  • Monitor machine performance, ensure tooling accuracy, and maintain consistent part quality.

  • Lead root cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure regular equipment maintenance and promote safety‑first work practices.

  • Maintain accurate production and inspection records per AS9100 standards.

  • Direct and assist with deburring, finishing, and inspection of parts for precision fit and finish.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.

  • Use and edit G‑code and CNC control parameters as needed for advanced machining.

Qualifications Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Completion of a CNC machining certificate or vocational training program preferred.

Experience
  • 7–10+ years of CNC machining experience in aerospace, defense, or medical manufacturing.

  • Expert‑level proficiency reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

  • Advanced use of micrometers, calipers, and measurement tools.

  • Strong working knowledge of AS9100 aerospace quality standards.

Computer Skills
  • Proficient in CAD, CAM, MRP, and ERP systems.

  • Competent with Microsoft Office and related software.

Personal Attributes
  • High initiative with a strong commitment to first‑part quality.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.

  • Ability to provide technical feedback to improve product quality and cost efficiency.

Other Requirements
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Adherence to OSHA, NADCAP, ISO
    9000/AS9100, ITAR, and FAA standards.

  • May require internal certifications (Forklift, Slings/Cranes, FPV, etc.).

Physical Requirements
  • Stand, walk, bend, and reach for 8–12 hours per shift.

  • Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs regularly.

  • Tolerate manufacturing noise, vibration, and temperature variations.

  • Must wear required PPE (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection).

Work Environment
  • Active production floor environment with moderate noise levels.

  • This position is designated as Safety Sensitive under Oklahoma law.

If you’re a proven CNC Machinist III ready to lead from the floor and make an impact on precision aerospace manufacturing, apply today to join an elite team of innovators and craftsmen.
