Position Type: Weekend Supervisor
Shift: Saturday and Sunday 8.5‑hour shift (start/end times open for discussion)
Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Charge Nurse to join our skilled nursing facility team. As an RN Charge Nurse, you will oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, provide high‑quality patient care, and ensure that all nursing staff adhere to facility policies and procedures. Your leadership and clinical skills will be essential in delivering compassionate and effective care to our residents.

Responsibilities- Supervision and Leadership:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs. Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to nursing staff to ensure high standards of care. - Patient Care Management:
Monitor and manage patient progress, including changes in condition, and make necessary adjustments to care plans. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with facility policies. - Quality Assurance:
Ensure that care practices and documentation meet regulatory standards and facility policies. Perform regular audits of patient records and care practices to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations. Address and resolve any patient or family concerns regarding care. - Communication and
Collaboration:
Serve as the primary point of contact between the nursing department and other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers. Communicate effectively with residents and their families regarding care plans, treatment options, and progress. - Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date patient records and documentation. - Emergency Response:
Respond to and manage emergency situations, providing critical care and coordinating with emergency services as needed. Conduct incident investigations and report findings as required.
- Current and valid RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent clinical assessment and decision‑making abilities.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other healthcare software.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
