Assistant Store Manager

Your Opportunity

As an Assistant Store Manager (ASM), you’ll support customers through their financial needs while gaining hands‑on experience running a store. You’ll develop leadership skills in real time by driving account management, customer outreach, and risk management. It’s fast‑paced, people‑first, and packed with growth potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maximize customer success by offering financial services that fit their needs.
  • Assess risk and accurately process loan/pawn applications, check‑cashing transactions and ancillary products.
  • Complete daily call campaigns to market services, build new business, and nurture relationships.
  • Oversee account management and recovery processes, including collection calls, while maintaining a focus on customer service.
  • Maintain customer information in the POS system with accuracy and integrity.
  • Provide coaching and development to Customer Service Representatives to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Perform duties off‑site such as vehicle appraisals, store errands, and external marketing.
  • Achieve company performance standards by leveraging partnership opportunities, referrals, and hosting community events.
  • Maintain office security protocols, including vault and cash drawer management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and local, state, and federal laws; conduct audits and compile reports.
  • Maintain store appearance and cleanliness, scheduling maintenance services.
  • Work efficiently in a rapidly changing environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Conduct additional tasks as directed by leadership.
  • Maintain a full‑time in‑person schedule, including weekends; minimum 40 hours per week.
Compensation

Hourly wage: $15.00 per hour. Other compensation information is provided in the Total Compensation package.

Qualifications and Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year of experience in customer service, sales, or retail.
  • At least 3 months of supervisory, key holder, or relevant leadership experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with phones, POS, Microsoft Office, and other computer systems.
  • Minimum age 18 (19 in Alabama).
  • Background check required.
  • Physical demands: standing 90% of time, moving up to 25 pounds, operating keyboard, moving inside/outside store.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Management experience in retail, convenience, grocery, finance, or related industries.
  • Experience in check‑cashing, document verification, money order processing.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus or may be required.
  • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and personal vehicle for workday use.
