Developer – Color & Artwork
Location: Clark, New Jersey
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days onsite)
Pay Rate: $37.59 / hour
Duration: 1 Year (Contract)
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Sr. Developer to join our Color and Artwork team in Clark, New Jersey. This role manages regulatory artwork projects from inception through final approval while ensuring compliance and efficiency within the TAG artwork management system. The successful candidate will also gain hands‑on experience managing re‑color matching initiatives across our existing packaging portfolio, including sustainability‑driven changes such as the removal of non‑recyclable attributes.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in artwork management, package decoration, color development, and cross‑functional project coordination in a fast‑paced environment.
- Manage the end‑to‑end lifecycle of regulatory artwork projects, ensuring timelines, accuracy, and compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Develop clear, complete, and accurate artwork project briefs in collaboration with cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Route artwork through the TAG system for review and approval while tracking project progress to completion.
- Ensure all artwork complies with regulatory standards, brand guidelines, and internal quality requirements.
- Manage color matching for sustainability‑driven projects, including removal of carbon black and re‑matching colors in PCR materials.
- Ensure updated BOMs and specifications are issued for revised colors.
- Coordinate closely with Marketing, Packaging Development, Manufacturing Plants, and external agencies to ensure alignment and execution.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation for all assigned projects, ensuring traceability and audit readiness.
- 2–4 years of proven package development project and/or quality experience, preferably within cosmetics, consumer goods, or a related industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or a related engineering/technical discipline is a plus.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization and with external suppliers.
- Team‑oriented with ability to build strong cross‑functional relationships.
- Interest in growing within decoration and packaging development.
- Proactive mindset with willingness to learn new systems and processes.
- Ability to travel to vendors and manufacturing plants as needed (approximately 5–10 %).
