Base pay: $25.00/hr - $30.00/hr

We are recruiting art teachers for early childhood and K‑4 grades. Our mission is to transform art education. We have 14+ schools across the county and bring our innovative curriculum and programming to businesses, community centers, public/private schools, and more. Teachers are supplied with all curriculum, materials, and supplies to take to their teaching locations.

• Locations:
  Bergen, Essex, or Union County, NJ.
• Travel to community spaces such as libraries, community centers, after‑school programs, retirement communities, camps, etc.

• 2+ years of experience teaching art classes.
• BFA or BS in Art Education or related field.
• Thoughtful communication skills.
• Passion for One River School’s mission.
• Reliable means of transportation.
• Availability to travel to multiple locations.

• Facilitate art lessons provided by One River School for various community spaces.
• Teach weekly sessions that can run from 4–12 weeks.
• Set up and clean up art lessons at the off‑site location.
• Connect with all students to create an engaging experience.
• Offer differentiated instruction to a variety of students.
• Provide thoughtful feedback to students.

• Understanding of various art media.
• Organization of project outcomes.
• Behavior management of groups.
• Verbal communication.
