$25-40 Per Hour

We are recruiting art teachers for early childhood, K‑12th grade, and adults. At One River School our mission is to transform art education. We have 14+ schools across the county and we are now taking our innovative curriculum and programming to businesses, community centers, public/private schools, and many more. Teachers are supplied with all curriculum, materials, and supplies that you will bring to your teaching locations.

Art teachers that can travel across Bergen, Essex or Union County, NJ to bring One River’s art programs to new communities.

Digital Art Teachers for grades 3‑adult.

Studio Art Teachers Pre‑K‑Adult.

• 2+ years of experience teaching art or digital design classes.
• BFA or BS Art Education or related field.
• Thoughtful communication skills.
• A passion for One River School’s mission.
• MUST have reliable means of transportation to get to each location punctually.
• Based on applicant availability, travel to multiple locations.

• Facilitate art lessons provided by One River School for a variety of community spaces at their location (libraries, community centers, after‑school programs, retirement communities, camps, etc.).
• Teach weekly sessions that can run from 4‑12 weeks.
• Set up and clean up art lessons at the off‑site location.
• Connect with all students to make for an engaging experience.

• Understanding of various art media.
• Organization of project outcomes.
• Behavior management of groups.
• Ability to offer differentiated instruction to a variety of students.
• Ability to offer thoughtful feedback to students.
• Verbal communication.
