Jacobs is seeking an Entry Level Structural Engineer to join our team in Morristown or Clark, NJ, working on projects that bring innovative solutions to our clients’ challenges locally and worldwide. You will be involved in a variety of engineering tasks for both private and public sector clients, including design, analysis, and maintenance of structural systems such as bridges and other infrastructure projects.

In this position you will work with a multidisciplinary team, taking on tasks that blend your theoretical knowledge with practical application. Under the guidance of professional engineers, architects and other senior technical staff you’ll have the opportunity to work on projects focused on structural design and analysis of bridges.

You will perform evaluations of structures with varying degrees of complexity and prepare plans, designs, calculations and cost estimates under the supervision of experienced engineers. You will assist in the design and analysis of structural systems for buildings, bridges and other infrastructure projects, perform calculations and create structural models using CAD software, and prepare engineering drawings, specifications and reports.

This position demands a results‑driven, client‑focused professional with excellent written and verbal communication skills, a collaborative mindset and a strong work ethic. You’ll take ownership of the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of your work, demonstrating the ability to progress from basic design assignments to more complicated projects in conjunction with a technical team. • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and/or Structural Engineering
• Knowledge of bridge design practices through work experience, internships or college coursework
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Office Suite
• Previous experience with structural engineering software (preferred but not required)

• EIT or ability to obtain within 6 months of working
• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

The base salary range for this position is $66,900.00 to $; payment is hourly based on hours worked, with pay determined by location and other factors such as skills, experience and education.
