NPI Engineer / Senior NPI Engineer – Electromechanical Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated NPI Engineer with a strong electromechanical background to lead and support new product introduction initiatives. Candidates with substantial experience may be considered for a Senior NPI Engineer role. The position involves working closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless product transition from design to mass production. The role requires international travel and temporary assignments in China to collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing partners.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive NPI projects from prototype to production, ensuring quality, cost, and timeline targets are met.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to optimize product designs for manufacturability and scalability.
- Conduct DFM/DFA reviews and provide feedback to design teams.
- Interface with suppliers and contract manufacturers, particularly in China, to resolve technical and process‑related issues.
- Lead pilot builds, analyze results, and implement improvements.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, test plans, and quality standards.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Solid experience in NPI, manufacturing engineering, or product development in an electromechanical environment.
- Candidates with extensive experience may be considered for a Senior NPI Engineer role.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and assembly techniques.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally and work temporarily in China.
- Valid passport and ability to obtain necessary travel documentation.
- Proficiency in CAD tools, Microsoft Office, and PLM systems is preferred.
