We’re looking for an Entry‑Level Instrumentation and Controls Engineer who is excited to join projects that enable the heart of our clients’ businesses. You’ll have the opportunity to work on state‑of‑the‑art industrial and commercial facilities and to grow through mentorship.
Responsibilities- Accountable for the schedule and technical quality of engineering tasks, gaining familiarity with client expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.
- Provide on‑site assistance during startup and coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead.
- Design and optimize control systems for a variety of processes, collaborating with architects, engineers, and designers to deliver complete, world‑class solutions for new facilities.
- Develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation, and document and model design information while ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards.
- Produce control system designs and develop options and optimizations for all aspects of process control, instrumentation, and automation.
- Associate’s or Engineering Tech degree in Mechanical, Control Systems, or Electrical Engineering.
- Ideal:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Control Systems, or Electrical Engineering. - Working knowledge of Revit software preferred.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute innovative ideas.
- Quick learner with a drive to broaden knowledge base.
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Passion for buildings and construction.
- Prior experience with DDC and PLC based control systems.
- Experience with data center design or operations.
