Job Description

Responsible for producing MRI images of patients' internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues. Interprets a physician's scanning/exam instructions, administering contrast materials, preparing, and operating the MR scanner and x-ray equipment (as needed), and position the patient to capture appropriate images.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Interprets MR Protocols and correctly positions the patient for the exam.
  • Evaluates MR scans and X-Ray images (as needed) for technical quality.
  • Utilizes EPIC Radiant, and PACS to schedule and transmit images to the Radiologist for interpretation.
  • Start IV lines and pre-screens outpatients prior to any contrast exams.
  • Prepares and administers contrast material using the power injector.
  • Contributes to the team and works cooperatively with peers.
  • Treats fellow employees in a respectful and professional manner.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned including but not limited to QA, stock maintenance, and customer service recovery.
Required

  • Accredited educational program related to the radiology field (i.e., Associate's degree in applied science in Diagnostic Radiology).
  • Current ARRT or MRIT MR license.
3, NJ State Radiology License - with ARRT accreditation.
  • Current BLS certification.
Preferred

  • EPIC experience.
  • GE systems platform experience/knowledge.
  • 1+ years of MR experience
