• Prepares patients for US exams and explains the procedure prior to the exam. Correlates the clinical history with the US exam to be performed.
• Follows Professional and Departmental guidelines while performing diagnostic and accurate imaging (Breast, Abdomen, OB/GYN, Renal, Endo-vaginal, Aorta, Testicular, Thyroid, non-vascular limited, and pediatric specific).
• Able to access, interpret, communicate, and deliver age-appropriate care. Ability to troubleshoot equipment.
• Practice universal precautions and aseptic technique to prevent cross-contamination.
• Ensure all images are properly marked and patient identification is accurate.
• Respond to individual needs of patients and family.
• Adheres to standards of care per policy and procedure manual.
• Treat fellow employees in a respectful professional manner demonstrating PRIDE values.
• Ensure open, respectful communication between peers. Maintains open communication with Manager, Assistant Manager and Business Supervisor. Provides feedback and suggestions for improvement.
• Contributes to the team and works cooperatively with peers.
• Demonstrates ability to multi-task and prioritize. Seeks proactive solutions to address questions or concerns.
• And other duties as assigned by site leadership.

High School diploma or GED required. Graduate of Accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.

2+ years performing ultrasound.

• ARMS Certified
• BLS - current certification

US Breast experience/training preferred.
