A. Johnson VA Medical Center located in Clarksburg, West Virginia is seeking a full‑time Physician (Urologist) to provide comprehensive urologic care for patients within the scope of urology. The 2‑page resume requirement does not apply to this occupational series.

- Applicants pending completion of training or license requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
- Currently employed physician(s) in VA who met the requirements for appointment under the previous qualification standard at the time of their initial appointment are deemed to have met the basic requirements of the occupation.
- United States citizenship (non‑citizens only if no qualified citizens can be recruited).
- Doctor of medicine or equivalent degree in medicine/osteopathic medicine from an VA approved school.
- Full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a US State, Territory, Commonwealth or District of Columbia.
- Completed VA approved residency training (ACGME or AOA or other qualifying program).
- PRPs must be fully licensed physicians, may only be appointed on intermittent or fee‑basis.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.

- Physical requirements:
lifting up to 35 lbs; moderate carrying (15‑35 lbs); pulling; pushing; reaching; walking; standing; kneeling; repeated bending (intermittently).
- Open continuous announcement until March 31, 2026. Initial cut‑off for referrals October 31, 2025 with subsequent monthly cut‑offs.
- Provide urology consultation for inpatients and outpatients; evaluate and treat urology emergencies in ED, outpatient clinic, inpatient ward, ICU, and OR.
- Perform full range of inpatient and outpatient urology procedures.
- Recommend appropriate referrals; admit, work‑up and treat surgical or medical genitourinary patients.
- Document patient care in electronic medical record; obtain informed consent; provide postoperative follow‑up and wound care.
- Perform emergency surgical procedures as needed; participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
