Backyard Help / Solids Control Operator / Mud Tech – full‑time position in Clarksburg, WV with competitive salary and benefits.

- Adheres to all safety requirements during installation & operation of equipment
- Monitor and adjust mud properties: regularly test and analyze mud weight, viscosity, sand content, etc., and make necessary adjustments to maintain optimal performance
- Safely perform startup & shutdown of all local Solids Control equipment, including shakers, centrifuges, solids control pumps, etc.
- Perform a shale shaker system installation with supervision and adjust all shaker settings to optimize operational efficiency (deck angle, fluid coverage, motion type, distribution, inclination angle, cleaning practices, etc.)
- Properly maintain, change, and/or repair oilfield screens on‑the‑job and identify different screen failure types
- Knowledgeable regarding centrifuge equipment properties and operation when using weighted or unweighted drilling fluid, and understand the impact of centrifuge adjustments on the drilling fluid system
- Maintain all critical paperwork required for Safety, Billings, Quality Assurance, and Inventory Control
- Perform a solids control pump installation without supervision and be knowledgeable regarding solids control pump equipment properties
- Be competent in cuttings collection equipment, operations, and safety
- Troubleshoot equipment in cuttings collection operations
- Make necessary adjustments for changes in drilling operations
- Assist with rigging up and rigging down of solids control equipment
- Perform all job functions in accordance with State, Federal and company laws and regulations
- Report all unsafe acts or unsafe conditions
- Maintain reports detailing production, volumes, monitoring well pressure, amounts of chemicals used, etc.
- Safely and effectively operate, maintain, and monitor separators, dehydration equipment, compressors, meters, pumping equipment, well sites and control devices to ensure optimal performance
- Work effectively and professionally with all co‑workers, management and site workers
- Safely operate an excavator and have experience mixing drill cuttings
- Safely operate a telehandler, skid steer and front loader
- Work any shift, including weekends and holidays as required
- Pass background and drug & alcohol testing
