3M is seeking Machinist candidates in Clarkston, Georgia! Full‑time 2nd or 3rd Shift available.

• Pay Starting at $24.82 per hour

As a Machinist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world.

• Use Computer Aided Design Software to implement solutions for obtaining desired grinding results.
• Use Coordinate Measuring Machine and other measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to verify work and adjust.
• Identify and properly manage hazardous waste.
• Participate in all safety and regulatory training needed to fulfill the duties of the position.
• Follow all plant safety rules and regulations.
• Analyze the performance of equipment and tooling to recommend changes and improvements to equipment and procedures.
• Communicate with other departments regarding quality, safety, and equipment issues.

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
• One (1) year experience with CNC lathes and/or CNC turning centers or a CNC Technical Diploma.
• Applicants meeting the basic qualifications above may be required to take and pass 3M‑elected testing as part of the selection process.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• This position may require overtime, weekend, and holiday work.
• Excellent mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as an understanding and proficiency with geometry, trigonometry, and machining calculations.
• Complex reading of drawings and notes.
